Cynthia Willett, professor in the Department of Philosophy at Emory University, will present the third biennial Issa Lecture in environmental philosophy today at 4:30 p.m. in Clark Hall, Room 309.
The lecture is named after a Case Western Reserve University student who majored in philosophy, studied pre-law and who had an abiding love of the environment.
Willett will discuss her work on interspecies ethics, born out of a period of study and collaboration with evolutionary biologists at Emory University.
More information about the lecture is available at humanities.case.edu/events/cynthia-willett/.
Willet will hold a special session of the Ethics Table brown bag lunches on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 11:30 a.m. in Thwing Center, Meeting Room A.
