Case Western Reserve University’s biggest American Red Cross blood drive of the year will take place on Feb. 7-8 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Thwing Center Ballroom. Global Medical Initiative and Lambda Eta Mu have combined forces to help us reach the goal of collecting 130 pints of blood during the two-day period.
Various student groups such as Dhamakapella and the Case Women’s Glee Club will join individual classical music performers from the Cleveland Institute of Music in welcoming donors at the blood drive. Food and other entertainment also will be provided.
The Cleveland chapter of the Red Cross distributes 900 pints of blood daily to 19 counties and 57 hospitals. Help meet this need by signing up for an appointment to donate at www.redcrossblood.org using sponsor code casewestern. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments will be taken first.
