The Case Western Reserve University Department of Physical Education and Athletics and the Department of Student Affairs will sponsor an opportunity for one Case Western Reserve student to win $25,000 at halftime of the football team’s home opening game against Grove City College Saturday, Sept. 16, at 7 p.m. at DiSanto Field.
A CWRU student drawn at random will have a chance to kick a 45-yard field goal on Saturday. Should the student make the kick, they will win the $25,000 prize.
CWRU students can register for the contest at the football game starting at 6:30 p.m., and up until the end of the first quarter under the balcony at the Wyant Athletic & Wellness Center. The drawing will take place at the start of the second quarter, and the selected student must be present when their name is announced in order to participate. Only current CWRU students are eligible to participate in the contest, and a valid CWRU student ID is required to register.
In addition, the following people are ineligible from participating:
- Current or former professional or semi-professional football, soccer and rugby players and coaches who have played or coached at that level anywhere in the world;
- Current or former collegiate or junior collegiate football, soccer and rugby players and coaches who have played or coached at that level anywhere in the world within the past five years;
- Current or former high school football, soccer and rugby players and coaches who have played or coached at that level anywhere in the world within the past five years;
- Current or former Olympic soccer and rugby players and coaches who have played or coached at that level anywhere in the world within the past five years;
- Any person actively participating in the sporting event/tournament associated with this promotion;
- Current or former employees, family members, agents, successors, or assignees of the client or any promotional agency involved with this promotion.
Contestants shall not be permitted any practice, warm-up or qualifying kicks at any time after his/her notification of participation in the promotion until the actual prize kick.
