Crain’s Cleveland Business (subscription required): University President Eric W. Kaler weighed in on the impact of ranking institutions of higher education. CWRU tied at No. 42 in the best national university category in the latest U.S. News & World Report ranking, the highest ranking in Ohio, but Kaler noted that doesn’t necessarily translate into tangible benefits—such as a boost in research funding.
