CWRU Libraries transitioning to new services platform

In August 2023, the OhioLINK Consortium—including Case Western Reserve University Member Libraries—announced its selection of Ex Libris Alma/Primo VE as its next shared library services platform (LSP). An LSP is the suite of software libraries use to acquire, manage and lend resources and patrons use to search those resources. This LSP upgrade will position libraries to support 21st-century teaching, learning and research, streamline day-to-day operations, and enhance stability and security.

CWRU Libraries will go live on the new services platform in June 2025, along with the rest of OhioLINK. The campus community can expect enhancements to the libraries’ catalog searching, access and delivery of electronic resources, and streamlined borrowing from other OhioLINK Member Libraries.

Until then, the campus libraries’ staff will work diligently to prepare for this significant transition. Learn more about the new platform or email lsp-support@case.edu with questions.
