Join the Graduate Society of Medical Humanities and Graduate Council of Arts and Sciences for free food and drinks during happy hour at the Jolly Scholar Thursday, Oct. 26, at 4:30 p.m.
After happy hour, the group will walk to the Dittrick Medical History Center to attend a talk by Lindsey Fitzharris on her new book, The Butchering Art. She will discuss the shocking world of 19th century surgery and how advances made in germ theory between 1860 and 1875 transformed it.
