CWRU graduate helps form “Give Essential” to assist essential workers
WEWS-5 (ABC-Cleveland): Crystal An, an incoming medical student and CWRU undergraduate alum, recently halted her gap year in Asia—during which she saw COVID-19 escalate and began partnering with students from Dartmouth College—to help essential workers across the U.S., on a project they’ve dubbed “Give Essential.” The project was descried as a “peer-to-peer matching platform” that connects essential items to donate to frontline workers, and so far, the effort has reached more than 1,600 people.
