CWRU Entrepreneurship Speaker Series: “Medical Education and Innovation” with Forrest Faison, Former Surgeon General, U.S. Navy

Join the Veale Institute for Entrepreneurship for a Case Western Reserve University Entrepreneurship Speaker Series roundtable discussion with Vice Admiral Forrest Faison III, former surgeon general of the United States Navy, Sept. 15 at 1 p.m. via Zoom.

He will discuss his experience in health care education and innovation.

Faison is a retired vice admiral in the U.S. Navy, where he had a nearly four-decade career. He served as the 38th Surgeon General of the Navy and chief of the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery from 2015 to 2019. He led a global health care network of 63,000 medical personnel who provide high-quality health care to more than 2.6 million people worldwide. Currently, Faison is the senior vice president of research and innovation and chief healthcare strategy officer at Cleveland State University.

Tim Nagy, who is pursuing his MBA at Cleveland State University, will facilitate the conversation. He is a client relationship manager at Midwest Medical Transport Company and works with Cleveland Clinic helping to facilitate the transfer and movement of patients.

Cleveland State University will co-sponsor the event.
