CWRU Entrepreneurship Speaker Series: “Design & Innovation in Silicon Valley” with Jose Diaz Salazar, San Francisco Innovation Lab manager at Goodyear

Join the Veale Institute for Entrepreneurship for a Case Western Reserve University Entrepreneurship Speaker Series roundtable discussion on “Design & Innovation in Silicon Valley” with Jose Diaz Salazar (MGT ‘15), San Francisco Innovation Lab manager at Goodyear, Aug. 17 at 1 p.m. via Zoom.

He will discuss his career journey in design and innovation from earning his MBA at CWRU to working for Goodyear, and how entrepreneurship and innovation work within a larger organization.

Diaz Salazar, originally from Costa Rica, joined Goodyear in 2015. He led efforts to identify new opportunities in the mobility space in Silicon Valley and established Goodyear’s digital innovation lab there. He also helped establish the company’s investment arm. Diaz Salazar created the Goodyear Innovation Challenge, a national business design and innovation competition for masters-level students, sponsored in collaboration between Goodyear and CWRU.

Lauren Butia, who is pursuing her bachelor’s and master’s in biomedical engineering, will facilitate the discussion.
