University Technology ([U]Tech) will decommission the Case Western Reserve University enterprise account for the password manager LastPass June 29, 2021. No action is required. After this date, users of the premium university account will be automatically switched to the free version. Login credentials will not change, and users will still access through the same LastPass URL.
While your login process will remain the same, there will be functionality changes. The free version only allows for one device. If users wish to upgrade to the premium version in order to manage passwords on multiple devices, they will have to personally cover the associated cost. Case Western Reserve will no longer pay for the monthly fee.
Once the enterprise account held by the university is decommissioned on June 29, [U]Tech will no longer be able to provide LastPass support (such as retrieving or resetting passwords). All support will need to be done directly through LastPass.
