CWRU Disability Resources recognizes three faculty/staff members for student advocacy

In recognition of Disability Awareness Month in October, Disability Resources honored this year’s recipients of the Outstanding Faculty/Staff Advocate Award.

Students registered with the office were asked to nominate faculty and staff members who were exceptional advocates for students with disabilities at Case Western Reserve University.

The following faculty and staff members were identified as going above and beyond to assist students with disabilities in reaching their academic and professional goals, and in promoting a culture of inclusion both in and out of the classroom.

  • Undergraduate faculty: Sharon Martin, associate professor of accountancy
  • Graduate/professional: Monique Williams Kelly, instructor at Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences
  • Staff: Crista Moeller, program and recruiting coordinator of the Medical Scientist Training Program
