Ohio Third Frontier gives grants for research in medical innovation in Cleveland

The Plain Dealer: A collaboration among Case Western Reserve University, University Hospitals Case Medical Center and Philips is working to develop an imaging system that could better detect breast cancer and reduce the number of biopsies needed to diagnose the disease. “A scan with better resolution may give us the ability to more reliably see if cancer is present without a biopsy,” said Raymond Muzic, associate professor of radiology, oncology and biomedical engineering.
