CWRU chief information security officer to present on lessons learned from a data loss security incident

The Case Western Reserve University Compliance Program will host a presentation Oct. 23 by Tom Siu, chief information security officer, titled “Lessons Learned from a Cross-Organizational Data Loss Security Incident.”

Siu’s presentation will offer a retrospective look into a data loss event that affected multiple organizations—discussing how this event changed the Case Western Reserve data loss response process as well as some of the intricacies of managing an event involving multiple collaborative partners.

Researchers, deans, administrators, managers, supervisors, and individuals charged with managing confidential information are encouraged to attend, but the event is open to all.

The event will be held from noon to 1 p.m. in Adelbert Hall’s Toepfer Room.
