Road salt causes odd growth spurts, early mortality in NE Ohio frogs, CWRU study finds
The Plain Dealer: Case Western Reserve University biologists recently discovered the harmful effects of road salt on wood frogs. While the frogs initially grow larger after exposure to the salt, they have shorter lifespans. Michael Benard, the George B. Mayer Assistant Professor, Kacey Dananay, a PhD candidate in biology, and Katherine Krynak, a recent PhD recipient, were involved in the study.
