The Case Western Reserve University Baja Team competed in its second competition of the season earlier this month in Mechanicsville, Md., earning its best performance since the team started in 2001.
In the final event of the competition, which was a four-hour endurance race against more than 100 teams, CWRU finished in fifth place. The results put the team in the same category as schools such as Cornell University and Rochester Institute of Technology.
CWRU also finished the competition with other accolades, including:
- 21st in Design
- 22nd in Suspension and Traction
- 23rd in Maneuverability
- 28th in Hill Climb
The team will participate in its final competition of the season this weekend in Portland, Ore.
