The Case Western Reserve University Department of Athletics and Physical Education will give away free T-shirts to students Friday, Sept. 18, at noon on the KSL Oval.
There will be 300 T-shirts available, with the giveaway going as long as supplies last. The T-shirts will be distributed using social distancing measures, and will be thrown from tables to students by coaches, staff and athletes wearing masks and gloves. Students are asked to remain masked and socially distanced during the giveaway (as per university policies), and to know their size ahead of time, as the T-shirts will be unable to be exchanged for other sizes once distributed.
The navy T-shirts will feature the Spartan and Nike logos, along with the slogan, “Nothing Can Stop What We Can Do Together,” which has been used by Nike in their advertising campaigns over the summer. The message is intended to convey the power of community at CWRU, even at a time when social distancing is necessary.
