CTSC releases new team science strategy modules

Solving complex health problems requires bringing together individuals with different perspectives and different backgrounds in order to create novel research approaches. However, working in multidisciplinary teams brings with it a unique set of challenges to collaboration.

The Community and Collaboration component of the Clinical and Translational Science Collaborative at Case Western Reserve University has created a set of four modules to address some of the common challenges that arise within multidisciplinary research teams. Each module consists of a short video, practical tools for teams and links to helpful resources.

Topics include:

  • Building a culture of teamwork;
  • How to run efficient and effective meetings;
  • Communicating across disciplines; and
  • Managing conflict.
