Solving complex health problems requires bringing together individuals with different perspectives and different backgrounds in order to create novel research approaches. However, working in multidisciplinary teams brings with it a unique set of challenges to collaboration.
The Community and Collaboration component of the Clinical and Translational Science Collaborative at Case Western Reserve University has created a set of four modules to address some of the common challenges that arise within multidisciplinary research teams. Each module consists of a short video, practical tools for teams and links to helpful resources.
Topics include:
- Building a culture of teamwork;
- How to run efficient and effective meetings;
- Communicating across disciplines; and
- Managing conflict.
