Members of the Case Western Reserve University community are invited to hear from Minda Harts, CEO of The Memo LLC, during a talk titled “Creating a Collaborative Culture through Trust” Wednesday, April 10, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Tinkham Veale University Center, Ballrooms B and C.
Through her talk, Harts aims to illuminate why trust is evolving from a simple organizational component to the fundamental language of creating equitable and inclusive environments. She will present effective strategies to establish and nurture trust, explain how to shape a workspace where equity, psychological safety, and shared success are the norm, and explain why trust is key to building a cohesive, thriving, and vibrant professional community.
The Office of General Counsel, University Health & Counseling, the Office of Equity, and Student Conduct & Community Standards will host this event.

Minda Harts is a celebrated author and influential speaker, best known for her bestsellers The Memo, Right Within and the young adult book You Are More Than Magic. She is a respected voice in advancing women of color, self-advocacy, and restoring trust at work. She frequently speaks at major conferences and companies, including Nike, Google and the Aspen Ideas Festival.
As an assistant professor at New York University and founder of The Memo LLC, Harts shapes future leaders and empowers professionals. She was honored by LinkedIn as the No. 1 Top Voice for Equity in the Workplace in 2020 and by Business Insider as one of the top 100 People Transforming Business in 2022.
Harts is working on a new book focusing on the crucial topic of restoring trust in the workplace.
