Consultants needed for interprofessional community-based project teams

Collaborative Practice I is an interprofessional service learning experience for first-year health profession and social work students. The students will learn teamwork skills, cultural humility and service to others by working in small interprofessional teams on community-based projects that are focused on health and well-being.

The Office for Interprofessional Education, Research and Collaborative Practice is recruiting consultants to help guide the students on their projects and teamwork dynamics. Consultants can be current or emeriti faculty, CWRU alumni or representatives from the Greater Cleveland community who have experience supervising teams. Consultants do not need to have a health professions background.

Collaborative Practice I will be held weekly on Wednesdays from 3 to 5 p.m. ET from September through mid-April, and the consultants can volunteer for one or more Wednesday afternoons. The consultations will take place via Zoom; therefore, consultants do not need to be in Cleveland to participate. If you are interested in volunteering for this opportunity, complete the Google form. Individuals will be contacted several weeks in advance to let them know which Wednesdays the Office for Interprofessional Education, Research and Collaborative Practice would like their assistance as consultants.

On behalf of students, the Office for Interprofessional Education, Research and Collaborative Practice appreciates those willing to serve in this role.
