“Conflict Management Skills for Navigating Differences”

All supervisory staff and faculty are invited to participate in two upcoming training classes offered through Case Western Reserve University’s employee assistance program, IMPACT Solutions. The first training is titled “Conflict Management Skills for Navigating Differences” and will be held Tuesday, Dec. 3, from 9 to 10 a.m. in Biomedical Research Building, Room 105.

This training class aims to teach participants how to skillfully navigate and reap the benefits of conflict. Attendees will learn about conflict causes and types and be given the opportunity to assess personal conflict styles in order to recognize potential benefits and drawbacks of different conflict approaches, and experience skills that generate strong connections.

A second training, titled “Creating a Culture of Engagement,” will be held Thursday, Jan. 16, from 9 to 10 a.m. in Biomedical Research Building, Room 105. In this session, participants will explore engagement, disengagement, and active disengagement principals and will learn essentials to promote engagement in their workforce.
