Case Western Reserve University symposium takes judicious aim at piracy
The Plain Dealer: Michael Scharf, associate dean of global legal studies, organized a conference at the university on combatting maritime piracy—a crime that, between 2005 and 2012, claimed 3,740 victims of piracy from 125 nations, with at least 80 deaths and 149 ships ransomed.
