Alumna, concussion researcher to give Dean’s Distinguished Lecture Oct. 17

unnamedAnn McKee (MED ’79), professor of neurology and pathology at Boston University School of Medicine and director of neuropathology in the Department of Veterans Affairs in Bedford, Mass., will give the next School of Medicine Dean’s Distinguished Lecture. Her talk, titled “Emerging Concepts in Chronic Tramatic Therapy,” will take place Friday, Oct. 17, at 3 p.m. in the Iris S. and Bert L. Wolstein Research Building.

McKee is widely known for her work studying Alzheimer’s disease as well as her extensive research on the long-term consequences of repetitive head injury from contact sports and military service.
