Community pickleball tournament fundraiser

The Case Western Reserve University Pickleball Club will host a doubles fundraiser tournament, open to all members of the campus and local communities Sunday, Sept. 17, from 10 a.m. to 1:40 p.m. at the Veale Convocation, Recreation and Athletic Center. Participants should arrive between 9:15 and 9:45 a.m.

A maximum of 18 teams will be organized into three groups: beginner, intermediate and advanced. Each group of six teams will play in a set of round robin games for a total of five games.

The top four teams from each group will then move to their respective playoffs. The seeds will be based off record then point differential. In the playoffs, there will be two games, a semi-final and final.

The fee to participate is $5 for students, and $20 for all others. The fundraiser will benefit the organization to help purchase additional supplies and future events.
