The School of Dental Medicine invites alumni, students, faculty and staff to The Closing a Chapter: Farewell to the Current School of Dental Medicine Saturday, Oct. 13, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
The travel-themed event will allow guests to walk through the school to revisit popular areas for students, which will be represented as different countries. Guests will receive a passport to have stamped and faculty and students will be at each stop.
There also will be a progressive lunch, with menu items available from the country the stop represents. Passports will be entered into a drawing for prizes.
The celebration will continue later that day with An Evening with the School of Dental Medicine from 6 to 11 p.m. at the Hilton Cleveland Downtown (100 Lakeside Ave.).
The evening will feature a high-energy dueling-pianos performance with two pianos and two performers.
The recipients of the 2018 School of Dental Medicine Alumni Association Awards (Donald Lewis, ’76, ’80; Michael Kroll ’11 and Mrs. Dorothy Caplin) will be recognized for their achievements.
The evening will culminate with dancing and music from a local DJ.
