Held at the Cleveland Museum of Art, the 2023 Cleveland Symposium will feature nine student papers on a range of topics related to the theme “Surface Tension: Water, Waterways, and Art.” The symposium will be held Friday, Oct. 13, from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
A keynote address, “Beneath the Surface: Water and Sacrality in the Early Middle Ages,” by Carolyn Twomey of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln will conclude the symposium.
Thematic gallery tours will be offered between presentation sessions. This event is free and open to the public.
