Cleveland Health Sciences Library moving to Allen Memorial Medical Library

The Cleveland Health Sciences Library (CHSL) operations will move from the Health Center Library (HCL) to the Allen Memorial Medical Library this spring. CHSL will open a new branch of the library at the Health Education Campus in May/June.

The Health Center Library will close June 1.

The books in the stacks will be boxed this month in preparation for moving them to the Allen Memorial Medical Library Feb. 25-28. The general print collection will be unavailable. To borrow print materials, use OhioLINK.

Patrons will still be able to use HCL to study, and use the computers and printers. Course reserves will be available at HCL until June 1. Reference and instruction services will be ongoing. Due to the work, HCL might be noisier than usual.

The Allen Memorial Medical Library’s Cushing Reading Room will be unavailable for approximately a month while the collection is reorganized. Patrons will be able to use the smaller Powell, Lowman and Millikin rooms.

The room at the Allen Memorial Medical Library is expected to open April 1. At this time, OhioLINK pickup/drop-off will move to Allen Memorial Medical Library.

The Health Sciences Graduate Study Center will remain open.
