Brookings report finds poverty-stricken neighborhoods jump dramatically in Cleveland area

The Plain Dealer: The number of people living in extremely poor neighborhoods has grown faster in Northeast Ohio suburbs than elsewhere in the U.S., according to new data. “Yes, this is exactly what we’ve seen, said Claudia Coulton, co-director of the Center on Urban Poverty & Community Development. “It [poverty] has hit the suburbs hard.”
