Classics’ Timothy Wutrich explains goal of increasing student interest in Latin and Greek

Ohio Greek and Latin teachers aim to make the classics more contemporary
ideastream: Timothy Wutrich, senior instructor in the Department of Classics at the College of Arts and Sciences, discussed the goal of reviving interest in the classics as declining enrollment threatens Latin and Greek programs across the state. “The focus on everything from grammar and literature to history and civilization in the ancient world and all of its aspects can so easily be applied to any modern field,” Wutrich said.
