First-year students who encounter registration issues or have questions the morning of registration can get immediate assistance from the Office of Undergraduate Studies by visiting the Wade Commons Pioneer Room from 7 to 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 28.
Students will not be able to have registration advising holds lifted at this event.
A few registration tips:
- Check your “Holds” section in the Student Information System (SIS), and ensure they are lifted prior to registration.
- Place courses in your shopping cart before registration. Use the “validate” feature to make sure you are eligible to enroll in them. You can also use “Schedule Planner” in SIS to construct your schedule.
- Pay attention to course enrollment limits. Have alternates in mind (and in your shopping cart) for courses that have low enrollment limits or only a few seats available.
- Requests such as instructor consent, closed courses, prerequisites or time conflicts can be made before registration via SIS.
- Before registration, review your schedule with your academic advisor.
