Cleveland’s Main Avenue Bridge recognized as historical civil engineering landmark

WEWS: Dario Gasparini, a professor of civil engineering who was instrumental in researching the historical importance of the Main Avenue Bridge in Cleveland, talked about its designation as a National Historical Civil Engineering Landmark. The plate girder viaduct was the longest in the United States at 271 ft. when it was built during the Great Depression, Gasparino said.
