Chat with best-selling author Timothy Egan

Author and New York Times columnist Timothy Egan will visit campus Tuesday, March 19, as part of the Writers Center Stage series.

During his visit, he will participate in an afternoon dialogue with students from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Tinkham Veale University Center’s Gaming Room. Interested students are invited to join this informal dialogue with the author. There is no set agenda for this conversation, but rather it will be directed by student questions.

Students can RSVP for the event through CampusGroups.

About the author

Timothy Egan is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, New York Times columnist and author of eight books.

His most recent book, The Immortal Irishman, was a New York Times bestseller. His book on Edward Curtis, Short Nights of the Shadow Catcher, was awarded the Carnegie Award for best nonfiction. His account of the Dust Bowl, The Worst Hard Time, won the 2006 National Book Award, one of the nation’s highest literary honors, and he was featured prominently in the 2012 Ken Burns film on the Dust Bowl.
