Changes coming to performance review process; watch training videos, read FAQs

Case Western Reserve University’s Professional Development Center supports staff members in their professional growth and development through efforts such as one-on-one career development sessions and training recommendations. The center’s support also includes a heavy focus on the new performance review process for staff members and those who supervise staff members. The updated process will begin in July.

The process, which was announced in The Daily in April, includes several new categories of evaluations and revamped evaluation forms.

The center will provide a variety of supports to make sure everyone feels prepared to use the new forms. Some of its support will include:

  • A pre-recorded training video accessible to all staff members and those who supervise staff members. This training video is now available to all faculty who supervise staff members and all staff members in Canvas. Members of the campus community should take the training, which they recently received links to via email.
  • Ongoing one-on-one meetings for those requiring additional support throughout the year. Request a meeting.
  • Training throughout the year to support you in using these forms.

This new performance evaluation process is designed to support staff in their personal and professional growth, and the center intends to support staff in that process too!
