Join the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences for a special Change Leaders presentation by Lori Stokes, award-winning American broadcast journalist and Distinguished Visiting Community Scholar, Thursday, Aug. 15, at 9:30 a.m.
Stokes is the daughter of American attorney, civil rights pioneer and former distinguished United States Representative Louis Stokes, who served 15 terms in the U.S. House of Representatives and was one of the founders of the Congressional Black Caucus. She is also the niece of Carl Stokes, the first Black mayor of an American city (Cleveland).
This keynote address is part of the Mandel School’s in-person orientation for Master of Social Work students; however, this event will be offered as a community-building opportunity for all to attend and participate in the interactive Q&A portion.
