3 out of 4 Cleveland suburbs saw increases in poverty in last decade

The Plain Dealer: A new report by researchers at the Center on Urban Poverty and Community Development shows that three out of four Cleveland suburbs saw a dramatic increase in poverty in the last decade, although poverty fell among those living downtown and in Tremont. “I think the big picture is that this recession has resulted in poverty showing up in places that it hadn’t really hit hard before,” said Claudia Coulton, co-director of the center.
