The Cleveland Hillel will host events to celebrate the upcoming High Holy Days.
On Wednesday, Sept. 4, Rosh Hashanah will be celebrated with a dinner (with reservations) at 6 p.m., followed by Erev Rosh Hashanah and Shabbat Services at 7 p.m.
Next, an all-day celebration will take place on Thursday, Sept. 5. The day will begin with a Shacharit/Musaf services at 9:30 a.m. and will continue with a student-only lunch (with reservations) at noon. After lunch, the Hillel will host Tashlich on a walk to the Cleveland Art Museum Lagoon (weather permitting).
On Friday, Sept. 6, Shacharit and Musaf services will be held at 9:30 a.m.
On Friday, Sept.13, Yom Kippur will be observed with a dinner (with reservations) at 5:30 p.m. and Kol Nidre services beginning at 6:45 p.m.
The Yom Kippur observance will continue on Saturday, Sept. 14, with Shacharit/Musaf services at 9:30 a.m., the Yizkor Service at 5:30 p.m. and Mincha/Neilah services beginning at 6 p.m. Finally, a communal break from fast will follow the services at about 8:20 p.m.
Tickets are free for students and young adults, age 18 to 29, with appropriate identification. Tickets are $100 for non-students.
Meals are free for students (with student ID) Sept. 4 and Sept. 13.
