The Center for International Affairs will celebrate International Education Week Nov 17-21 with a full schedule highlighting the diversity of cultural events taking place on campus and in the neighborhood.
International Education Week is a national celebration of the benefits of international education and global exchange. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Education is an effort to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn and exchange experiences in the United States.
Along with numerous collaborators, the center has developed a variety of exciting and informative events for faculty, staff, students, and community members to stimulate cultural understanding on campus and in the local community, while fostering an inclusive environment and worldview.
Throughout the week, enjoy international food in on-campus cafeterias, experience the daily lives of local refugees through a black-and-white photography exhibit in Tomlinson Hall, and win prizes on Facebook and Twitter.
Several events are offered daily; a few are highlighted below.
