Celebrate Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week April 1-5

The second annual Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week will be April 1-5. During this week, the campus community is encouraged to seek opportunities to recognize graduate and professional students for their intellectual, teaching and cultural contributions to the campus community. The efforts might include an informal lunch, coffee hour, a note of appreciation, acknowledgement at a departmental meeting and/or a group outing to a campus event.

The National Association of Graduate and Professional Students started Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week in 1993 to recognize the contributions of graduate teaching assistants.  The focus expanded in 1995 to include the recognition of the contributions of all graduate and professional students

This week is supported by the Office of the Provost, the School of Graduate Studies, the Graduate/Professional Student Experience Committee (GPSEC), the Graduate Student Senate (GSS) and the Graduate/Professional Council (GPC).
