The LGBT Center will host a series of events next week in celebration of Coming Out Week Oct. 12-16. The events will explore what it means to live openly as a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or queer (LGBTQ) individual.
The event schedule consists of the following events:
- Spectrum Brunch: Sunday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to noon in the House 4 great room
- Writing & Coming Out: Monday, Oct. 12, at noon in the LGBT Center in Tinkham Veale University Center. This event will feature a conversation with Sara Gaines, author of Noble Persuasion, and lunch.
- Ethical Non-Monogamy Conversation: Tuesday, Oct. 13, from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Tinkham Veale University Center Senior Classroom
- Healthy Relationships: Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 6 p.m. in the first floor conference room of Tinkham Veale University Center. Eris Eady, multicultural education manager at The Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center, will present at this event.
- Open Safe Zone: Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. in the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences. Email LGBT@case.edu to RSVP.
- Exact Change: Thursday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m. at Church in the Circle. This event will feature a viewing of a viewing of the play, which is about finding a voice and identity. Christine Howey wrote and performs in the play.
- Christine Howey on Exact Change: Friday, Oct. 16, at 12:30 p.m. in the LGBT Center in the Tinkham Veale University Center
