This Saturday, April 25, the Case Western Reserve University community will mark the 105th running of the Hudson Relays.
A time-honored tradition, Hudson Relays commemorates Western Reserve College’s move from Hudson to Cleveland in 1882.
To mark the occasion, a team from each class year—including an alumni team—compete in the 26-mile relay race, which consists of five laps around a pre-set course.
The race will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Students can become part of the tradition—whether they are runners or not. Class teams are composed of 50 runners, and each participant runs a half-mile leg of the relay.
Classes that win all four years receive steak and Champagne dinner at graduation. Those interested in running should contact a class officer.
