Researchers from the Center of Computational Imaging and Personalized Diagnostics and Case Comprehensive Cancer Center have been awarded a U.S. patent titled “Entropy-based radiogenomic descriptions on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for molecular characterization of breast cancer.” The technology distinguishes disease phenotypes and mutational status in radiologic images.
The researchers on the patent are:
- Anant Madabhushi, the F. Alex Nason II Professor of Biomedical Engineering, professor of pathology, radiation oncology, radiology and urology, director of the Center of Computational Imaging and Personalized Diagnostics and member of the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center;
- Nate Braman, biomedical engineering graduate student;
- Prateek Prasanna, biomedical engineering research associate;
- Vinay Varadhan, assistant professor and member of the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center;
- Salendra Singh, research associate at the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center; and
- Lyndsay Harris, professor of medicine.
