Case Western Reserve University’s Maltz Performing Arts Center announces expanded 2024–25 season

The Milton and Tamar Maltz Performing Arts Center at Case Western Reserve University will feature the return of several program favorites, plus a lineup of new series’ and events, for its 2024–25 season.
This season will spotlight internationally acclaimed talent and local artistry, offering audiences an array of concerts, literature and orchestra performances.
“Our expanded lineup offers something for everyone,” said Maltz Center Director Jason Cohen. “From the return of fan favorites to the launch of exciting new series, the Maltz Center continues to bring world-class performances to Cleveland.”
The Maltz Center, in the former Temple-Tifereth Israel at 1855 Ansel Rd. in University Circle, will host a variety of performances, lectures and special events led by Case Western Reserve faculty and staff.

  • The Silver Hall Concert Series, a cornerstone of the Maltz Center’s programming, returns with a diverse lineup of international artists, local favorites and CWRU ensembles. These ticketed events in the center’s Silver Hall are free and also livestreamed.
  • The Something Different at Silver Hall series returns featuring two-time Grammy-winning performer Terrance Simien and the Zydeco Experience, Irish singer-songwriter Karan Casey with The Women, We Will Rise, Mongolian world-music emerging act Tuvergen Band, and White Islands, where history, poetry and music come together to bring the Sephardic Jewish experience to life.
  • Debuting this season, the Cinematic Symphony Orchestra (CSO) fuses symphonic music with film scores, performing beloved soundtracks with an 80-piece ensemble for a cinematic experience. From the music of superheroes to your favorite romantic movies, CSO offers the soundtrack to cinema’s most iconic melodies.
  • The Cleveland Pride Band presents a full season at the Maltz Center for the first time, celebrating LGBTQ+ musicians with energetic and lively concerts across diverse musical genres that champion diversity and inclusivity.
  • With its beginnings in 2009, the International Series is Cleveland Classical Guitar Society’s flagship concert series. This series showcases the world’s greatest musicians to large regional audiences. To date, musicians presented on this series represent 23 countries and 30 Cleveland debuts.
  • Presented in partnership with the Cuyahoga County Public Library, the Writers Center Stage literary series brings bestselling authors and thought leaders to the stage for intimate discussions.
  • The Cleveland Jazz Orchestra has captivated audiences through amazing collaborations with internationally renowned guest artists, and incredibly diverse musical landscapes for 40 years.
  • Renowned pianist and lecturer Jeffrey Siegel returns for another season of Keyboard Conversations, where he delights audiences with performances and engaging commentary on classical piano masterpieces.
  • Candlelight concerts bring the magic of a live, multi-sensory musical experience to awe-inspiring locations. Each performance is unique, featuring a talented string quartet performing the music of Taylor Swift, Adele, classic rock hits and more.
