Case Western Reserve University announces partnership with Academic Impressions

Provides campus community free access to training, tools and resources for personal and leadership development

Case Western Reserve University and the Office of the Provost have announced a partnership with Academic Impressions— a leader in providing higher education training, tools, resources and research.

Now, every member of the Case Western Reserve community—in fact, anyone with a case.edu email address—can take advantage of online professional development opportunities at any time.

“We are very excited about this partnership,” said Provost and Executive Vice President Ben Vinson III. “I strongly believe that leaders are found in every office and at every level of our institution. Academic Impressions brings a wealth of research and resources, and we are thrilled that we can make their professional development opportunities available to every member of our community.”

Topic areas include personal development, leadership development, academic affairs, diversity, equity, inclusion, enrollment management, student success, institutional advancement, student affairs, and institutional planning and strategy.

The initiative is directly tied to Pathway 4 (Objective 4-3) of the university’s Think Big strategic plan, which calls for enhancing opportunities to cultivate leadership and provide all members of the campus with opportunities to become contributing members of the CWRU community.

Academic Impressions is a Denver-based, higher education training and development organization that provides educational products and services that help institutions develop their leaders and tackle key, strategic challenges.

The partnership will allow the campus community to:

  • Access more than 1,000 hours of online training, tools, resources and articles;
  • Access live online seminars and recordings;
  • Access new training resources added each month;
  • Access the Academic Impressions research team to suggest new topics and make connections;
  • Receive a $100 discount on any Academic Impressions conference registration.

Users will be able to explore subjects such as The Art and Practice of Giving and Receiving Feedback, The Introvert’s Guide to Academic Leadership, 10 Powerful Strategies to Beat Procrastination, Preparing Students to Lose Their Jobs (And Faculty to Keep Theirs), and more.
