Educating the ‘big data’ generation
Fortune: Case Western Reserve introduced a data science and analytics program and a minor in applied data science. “Most programs so far have been in the graduate and professional-education area,” said W.A. “Bud” Baeslack III, provost and executive vice president. As Don Feke, vice provost for undergraduate education, explained: “By offering both a major and a minor in data science, we can essentially ‘data enable’ a wide range of students.”
