Career Center earns gold level certification for LGBTQ resources and programs

The Case Western Reserve University Career Center has received gold level certification from Out for Work.  The center received this level of certification for providing career information, tools, resources and programs to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer students.

This gold level of certification is one indication that the center’s staff provides customized services and programs to students and alumni and has moved beyond a one-size-fits-all approach to career development.

Out for Work partners with university career centers and hiring organizations to develop, evaluate, initiate and implement career plans and opportunities for LGBTQ students.

This is the third year the center has participated in the Out for Work career center certification program, having received the silver certificate last year and the bronze certificate two years ago.

Other university career centers receiving the gold level of LGBTQ career center certification include: Bucknell, the College of William & Mary, Columbia, Cornell, Harvard, Michigan and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
