Canvas to feature a redesigned Gradebook for all courses beginning May 12

The redesigned Gradebook in Canvas, which brings new features and functionality to courses, will be turned on for all courses effective Sunday, May 12. The redesigned version was an optional switch for instructors in the 2018-19 academic year.

The new Gradebook will replace the existing one in all Canvas courses; however, no grades, student submissions or feedback will be lost. Some of the useful new features include:

  • Improved column-filtering options;
  • New ways to sort and display student information; and
  • Automatic late and missing grade policies.

To learn more about the new Gradebook, including how to enable it before May 12, refer to the information page.
