Campus organizations to host Ally Coming Out Party in honor of National Coming Out Day

In honor of National Coming Out Day, campus organizations will host an LGBT Ally Coming Out Party Oct. 12 from noon to 2 p.m. in Thwing Center Atrium.

Food, music and free “LGBT? Fine by me” T-shirts will be available. The event is sponsored by the LGBT Center, the Interfraternity Council, the Panhellenic Council, Undergraduate Student Government and Share the Vision.

The event is part of a larger series of programs and events happening next week to celebrate National Coming Out Day, which is Thursday, Oct. 11. Events include “Standing on Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays” Oct. 8 at Gordon Square Theatre; LBGT Heritage Day Awards Ceremony and Reception at Cleveland City Hall; the Gen Silent film screening Oct. 10 at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Community Studies Center; and the S’mores with Spectrum Coming Out Day event Oct. 11.
