Campus forum on international rankings

The Case Western Reserve University community is invited to a special forum on the university’s international rankings activities, including the progress made so far and where we are headed.

The campus forum on international rankings will be held Thursday, Dec. 13, at 3 p.m. in Nord Hall, Room 400.

International rankings have had an increasing impact on colleges and universities in the U.S., influencing where international students choose to study, and decisions involving academic and research collaborations.

CWRU’s international rankings consultant, Daniel Guhr, managing director of The Illuminate Consulting Group, will lead the forum, which is hosted by the Center for International Affairs.

Guhr will discuss the efforts across campus that contributed to CWRU’s recent improvement in several international rankings and plans to build on these achievements.

CWRU’s recent progress in the top international rankings includes:

  • Up from158 to 132 in the 2019 Times Higher Education World University Rankings;
  • Up from from 213 to 186 in the 2019 QS World University Rankings; and
  • From 124 to 123 in the 2018 Academic Ranking of World Universities.

All members of the CWRU community are invited to the forum to learn how they can support the international rankings initiative.
