Case Western Reserve University’s Office of Government and Community Relations invites members of the campus community to support a donation drive for East Cleveland residents displaced by an apartment fire last month.
While these individuals have since been relocated to new spaces, dozens stayed in university residence hall rooms for four days while officials identified those options. During and since that time, several faculty and staff members have inquired about how they can help support these residents.
Cleveland Heights’ Forest Hill Church is now collecting items for these residents, and you can support their efforts by dropping off donations between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. in one of the two bins now placed on campus.
They are located:
- Just in inside the front entrance of the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences
- Near the elevators on the first floor of Crawford Hall
The bins will remain in these buildings through Friday, Aug. 11.
Among the items most needed are:
- Toiletries
- New underwear and socks (in sizes for young children through to adults)
- Other clothing, which may have been worn but must be washed
Those with questions can contact communityrelations@case.edu.
