Graduate students in the Macromolecular Science and Engineering Department invite all engineering and science post-doctorate, graduate and undergraduate students to the Polymer Initiative of Northeast Ohio (PiNO) conference Friday, June 12, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Tinkham Veale University Center. Graduate students have organized the conference and career fair for 16 years.
PiNO is a one-day conference that allows students seeking internships, co-ops, or full-time employment to present posters and network with industry representatives from numerous companies. The event consists of a judged poster session, a keynote speaker, resume workshops and a job fair. John Nottingham, Nottingham Spirk co-founder and co-president, will give the keynote address.
The conference is geared toward, but not limited to, students in the macromolecular/polymer science and engineering, chemistry, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, and materials science and engineering fields.
Graduate and undergraduate students can register for $10. The cost for post-doctoral students is $15 and professionals can register for $20.
In 2014, PiNO attracted more than 120 students from 27 universities in approximately 15 different fields of study.
